What the DVD says:

A case of mistaken identity puts a young woman in terrible danger when some international jewel thieves think she is her twin sister. Apparently, the woman's sister was in possession of a stolen diamond the crooks want very badly. Desperate for protection from the menacing thieves, the young woman gets help from two men who may actually have their own involvement and agenda she is unaware of.

Plot:

In a city, a woman is robbed. Later, Julie is looking for her identical sister, Mary, when she's jumped by a guy in a gorilla mask. People are following her when she finally hires a lawyer, Dave, and body guard, Tony

Later, guys grab Julie and question her about where she hid "it" before they realize she's Mary's twin. Cops show up after Julie and Tony run off to Dave.

Dave has Julie and Tony hide up in a rental place for a vacation and alibi from the cops. At the house, Julie finds a body. However, Tony doesn't find any body.

Dave meets an insurance agent who thinkgs that Mary stole a diamond and wants it back. The goons and the agent watch Tony who will pick it up.

A car chase leads into crashing and wreck to a gunfight. Unfortunately, the goons shoot the wrong guy. Tony returns with a fake diamond to Julie. Tony and the boss question Julie.

Insurance agent shoots Tony and takes Julie away.

Dave finds some of the goons.

The remaining goon chases Julie around the house. The wounded Tony shoots the goon and chases aftr Julie who runs over him with a steamrller.

The police return Julie to Dave.

At the airport, it is revealed that Julie actually died 2 years earlier. Mary has been impersonating her who was also Tony's ex-wife. In the plane, Dave meets up with her and she reveals where the diamond was hidden in a pack of cigarettes.

What I say:

There's a reason why you should never judge a book by its cover. Well, that's the same reason not to judge a movie by its title. This title alone sounds like a horror movie but takes more than a half hour before it even tries to do any of the Italian giallo/thriller. Italy is known for the Spaghetti Westerns in the 1960s. In the 1970s, the Italian-crime movies were running rampant in the large cities until the the late 1970s saw the rise of Italian zombies and cannibals.

Mistaken identity of twins is mostly in comedies or suspense/thrillers. Twins are just easier to write about in movies since you can have 2 actresses for hiring 1.

The car chase has numerous scenes replayed throughout the movie. Unfortunately, we aren't deserving enough to get car chases that would look like staged from Starsky and Hutch or from Hunter. If the description of the plot does sound a bit confusing the actual movie is lot more separated from logic I am from reality. If that's not enough, Devil With Seven Faces is almost as badly dubbed almost to the level of a Japanese Godzilla/Kaiju movie.
